We have updated our system to facilitate both Pandemic Unemployment Payments and Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme.
Select the desired support scheme from the wizard drop down menu in the navigation bar.
COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment
Note that employees can apply directly for the scheme online here.
Choosing this will create a reimbursement in the selected employees template payslips.
You can also choose to move them to a weekly calendar, or retain them on your current calendar.
Temporary COVID-19 Wage Subsidy Scheme
This is a two stage process. The first stage allows you to preview the potential subsidy values and max employer payment. Use this to identify employees to put on the scheme.
Once selected Parolla will create a reimbursement to the value of the subsidy, an earnings to the value of the top-up, and will zero the employees normal income.
The Wage Subsidy Scheme calculation is our best effort to establish what Revenue will apply based on their guidance to date. It is the employers responsibility to check these values. Revenue will perform their calculations during April and advise you of any corrections that need to be made.
In both schemes Parolla will handle the process of determining the number of weeks to apply, and of submitting the J9 PRSI class to Revenue. You do not need to change employee PRSI Classes in Parolla.
However, you do need to make sure that there are no other earnings types, or BIK, which need to be removed from the payslips. You may also chose to not pay LPT for the moment.
