Hi there,
It’s been a busy few months at Parolla, with a number of updates focused on security, compliance and making payroll easier for our customers.
🔐 Parolla is now ISO 27001 certified
We’re delighted to have achieved ISO 27001 certification, the internationally recognised standard for information security management.
For us, the important distinction is that Parolla is not simply “aligned with” or “working towards” ISO 27001. Our information security management system has been independently audited by an external certification body and formally certified as meeting the requirements of the standard.
Achieving certification involved more than a year of work across every part of the business — from staff training and supplier management to infrastructure, policies, risk management and security controls — followed by two stages of independent external audit.
🏦 New SEPA payment file format now available
Parolla now supports the new SEPA Credit Transfer pain.001.001.09 format alongside the existing pain.001.001.03 format.
Many Irish banks are moving to the new format from 12 November 2026, so we recommend testing the new version with your banking portal well in advance.
It’s also a good time to check that employee and other payee bank account names are accurate, as banks are placing increasing importance on account-name matching.
👷 2026 CWPS rates updated automatically
The new Construction Workers Pension Scheme (CWPS) contribution rates came into effect for payment dates from 3 August 2026.
These rates have already been updated automatically in Parolla, so there is no software update or manual rate change required. For further reading check out www.cwps.ie.
🌍 Keeping your data in Europe
Over the past year we’ve also continued moving supporting services and infrastructure to European providers.
Our remaining third-party services have now been migrated or replaced so that Parolla’s hosting, monitoring and supporting infrastructure can remain within Europe.
We’ve also made significant upgrades to Parolla’s servers, security monitoring, backups and underlying infrastructure. These changes are designed to improve resilience, security and performance as the number of employers and employees using Parolla continues to grow.
As always, if you have any questions, just drop us a message via the chat box – we’re here to help.
