January 2026 MyFutureFund Update

Hello,

As many of you know, MyFutureFund is now up and running.

Over the past month, we’ve been updating our guides and FAQs as new information has been delivered by NAERSA (the National Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings Authority).

Here’s a quick overview of what you need to know 👇

🔄 What has changed in Parolla

From 22 January, submissions to NAERSA are no longer sent automatically alongside the Revenue submission.

Instead, once a pay run is processed, you’ll see a new option in the Actions dropdown that allows you to upload to MyFutureFund when you’re confident no further changes are required.

🤔 Why this update was made

Some users were submitting directly via the MyFutureFund portal and through Parolla. This was typically due to:

  • Delays in NAERSA debiting funds
  • Delays in updating payment statuses on the MyFutureFund portal

Unlike Revenue, NAERSA currently does not recognise duplicate submissions or keep a rolling liability balance. 

Currently any refunds must be requested in writing in letter form to NAERSA.
This change helps prevent accidental duplicates and unnecessary admin.

📋 Viewing all MyFutureFund submissions

A new feature has been added to make self auditing easier:

Benefits / Deductions → Pensions → Contributions → View MFF Records

From here, you can:

  • View all MyFutureFund contributions uploads made via the MFF portal or via Parolla. 
  • View the status of the submissions.  

Amendments can be made up to 6:30pm on the payroll payment date.

While things are settling in, reviewing accepted submissions in Parolla or via the MyFutureFund portal — and giving payroll a final check before 6:30pm — can save a lot of head-scratching later. 

💳 Payments to NAERSA

  • Direct Debit set up?
    Funds will be debited after 6:30pm on the pay run payment date.
  • Need to make a correction?
    Pay runs and payslips can be amended by submitting a revised MRR file to NAERSA before 6:30pm on the payment date.
  • No Direct Debit in place?
    Payments can be made directly in the MyFutureFund portal using a bank card.
    ⚠️ Card payments are debited immediately, which may be earlier than the pay run payment date.

🔧 What’s next

Further enhancements to the Pensions section of Parolla will be rolled out over the next six weeks, as the NAERSA software continues to mature.
