As of 15th September 2020 we have implemented multi factor authentication as an optional security enhancement for all users.
Multi-factor authentication is an electronic authentication method in which a computer user is granted access to a website or application only after successfully presenting two or more pieces of evidence to an authentication mechanism: knowledge, possession, and inherence.

Multi factor authentication helps keep bad guys out by introducing a simple second step that require a piece of information delivered via your phone or email account.
We have two options for 2FA:
- Email authentication
- Google Authenticator
For email authentication we will send you a one time code each time you attempt to log in. You then use the code from the email to finalise your login process.
For Google Authenticator you would need to have your phone nearby when you log in. The app on the phone generates a time dependant code that you enter to complete your log in process.
If someone had your password and login, they would still the need the 2FA code from your phone. That code changes every 60 seconds!
To enable MFA go to your personal user settings, select the 2 factor authentication tab, select the checkbox for Google Authenticator and/or Email 2FA. You can use both systems if you wish.
If using Google Authenticator, then on your mobile device, install and open the application. Add a site and scan the QR code.
The next time you log into Parolla you will be redirected to the second confirmation screen where you can enter the time limited 6 number code from the Goggle Authenticator application.
