Your payroll just got faster, clearer, and easier to manage
We’ve introduced a series of improvements across Parolla designed to make your day-to-day payroll work smoother — whether you’re processing runs, reviewing payslips, or collaborating with your team.
These updates are designed to give you better visibility, faster performance, and a more seamless payroll experience.
👀 Pay run summary view
You can see key status indicators directly in your pay run summary. These include email delivery, ROS submission and MyFutureFund upload status, all shown with clear colour-coded labels.
The labels make it easier to spot what needs attention at a glance:
- 🟢 Green indicates the process is complete or accepted
- 🟠 Orange highlights warnings
- 🔴 Red shows errors that should be reviewed
You can also click on the relevant box to view more detail in a pop-up window, making it easier to understand what’s happening without leaving the pay run.
📧 Colour-coded email delivery status
It is now much easier to see the status of payslip emails.
Hover over the coloured status indicator to view more detail:
- 🟢 Green = sent and delivery confirmed
- 🔵 Blue = sent, but no delivery confirmation received
- 🟣 Purple = sent, not delivered, retrying
- 🔴 Red = sent and rejected
Where a status shows purple or red, the email address should be checked and updated if needed. Emails may also be rejected if the recipient mailbox is full.
Warning or error messages which can appear to the left of the payslip can be expanded when clicked to show further information.
⚡ Faster performance where it matters
We’ve made significant speed improvements when:
- Loading organisations
- Opening pay runs
- Saving updates
These changes reduce waiting time and keep you moving, especially during busy payroll periods.
🤝 Real-time updates when working as a team
When multiple users are working on the same pay run, updates now appear live on screen. A message will briefly appear on screen to let you know a collegue has updated the payslip you are working on.
No more refreshing. No more working off outdated data. Everyone stays in sync automatically.
🛠️ Smarter payslip view and workflows
We’ve improved the pay run view to make figures clearer and easier to understand.
We’ve also refined the payslip table actions so common tasks are quicker and more intuitive to complete.
📊 Easier reporting with spreadsheet exports
You can now download journal outputs in spreadsheet format, making it easier to:
- review data
- share information with finance teams
- fit Parolla into your existing workflows
To enable this, go to Settings > Accounting System and select Spreadsheet.
