About Parolla
The Parolla journey began in 2014 when founders Mark and Claire returned from New Zealand looking to create a business that would allow them to live and work in Tramore, Co. Waterford.
The idea for a payroll software came from first-hand experience of using more intuitive cloud products in NZ. After several years of product research, development and beta testing, Parolla cloud payroll was launched to the market in September 2018.
The timing of the development and launch of Parolla meant that the software was created inclusive of GDPR regulation and PAYE Modernisation which Revenue introduced in January 2019.
The company rose to the challenge of Covid 19 when many of the government schemes were processed through payroll. It was a tough challenge but one which enhanced our offering, strengthened our working relationship with Revenue and gave us a confidence in our product’s and our own capability to deliver through uncertain times.
Our clients have been at the heart of our journey with their feedback and suggestions of how they would like the system to work. The road ahead sees further expansion of the software though integration, product development and the growth of our team.

Claire Brennan

Claire comes from a financial services and sales background and has spent time working in Ireland, Australia and New Zealand in various banks and stock exchange services.
In 2017 she completed a Masters in Financial Information Systems to support and validate the software side of the business.

Mark hails from rural Canterbury, New Zealand and is a Mechanical Engineer by training.
After a time in London, he returned to NZ where he spent the noughties managing several multi-million dollar construction projects both in New Zealand and the wider Pacific region.
In 2014 he and Claire made the move back to Claire’s home town of Tramore for a change of pace and to give their kids the chance to experience their Irish heritage.
